About Us

I started in the construction industry in 1989 with The Bridge Construction Co. Joined the US Army in 1991 as a Paratrooper/ Mechanic. When my enlistment was complet, I returned to work for Bridgecorp’s Paving Division.

10+ yrs later, they were bought by Pike Industries. Deciding to be closer to home, I went to work for Bruce A. Manzer Paving and Earthwork.

13 yrs later, he was bought out by Pike Industries. Deciding that I needed a change after 5+ yrs, I chose to cross the road to the Inspection side!

After a season and a half with John Turner Consulting (JTC) subcontracted to MDOT as an inspector, I was offered an opportunity to purchase an an Asphalt Seal coating Co.

In just a year and a half, we have transformed Grant’s Asphalt Maintenance, into Opie’s Asphalt Restoration and Sealcoating, a complete asphalt restoration company that offers driveway culvert installation, pothole patching, crack filling and repair, and sealcoating.

Along with some of our many more services, Paking lot Sweeping, Line Striping, Winter Sand Removal, Stump Grinding, Fall Clean-ups, Snow Removal, and Pressure washing.
